Vivo X100 and X100 Pro launch confirmed: Here’s what you should know

Vivo’s back in the news with its upcoming flagship smartphone series. The Vivo X90 series launched in February and now the company has claimed its successor to be rolled out this year only. The Vivo X100 series will reportedly include three smartphones that are Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro and Vivo X100 Pro Plus. The Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro have been said to launch at the end of this year. However, the high-end model, Vivo X100 Pro Plus will roll out later, most probably next year. 

Shen Wei, the Global President of Viva, has confirmed the launch timeline of Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro during an event. He promises the launch to happen at the end of the year. Although the exact date hasn’t been disclosed, speculations say November. The Vivo X100 Pro Plus will most likely launch in the first quarter of 2023 in China. The Pro Plus variant of X series does not come to India, same is expected with this one as well.

Vivo X100 Pro Plus

Talking about India, the Vivo X90 series launched in February but came to India after a while. So the Vivo X100 series will also debut in India in 2024 according to Vivo X series’ schedule. Shen Wie also promised a Vivo X100 Pro as a gift to over 130 people who attended the event. 

A known tipster, DigitalChatStation, tipped some specifications of Vivo X100 Pro, let’s have a look at them.

The Vivo X100 Pro is tipped to feature a curved OLED display with support of 1.5K resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. It could include an under-display fingerprint sensor X-axis linear motor, an IR blaster, and dual stereo speakers.

Vivo X100 Pro Plus

Talking about the camera, the Vivo X series comes with a Zeiss powered camera. It is tipped to have a triple camera setup holding a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B  periscope telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel IMX663 ultra-wide-angle lens.

It will most likely be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9300 chipset and packed with an unknown battery with up to 100-watt fast charging support.
